Thanks to Dan's (@asphyxeno) help by researching accurate trawlers, we settled on the above sketches for Stan and Ford's new and improved ship.

Meet the Team
For the art, one of the first steps when going through with a full game was to clarify the size of the Stan O' War II.
In Gravity Falls, the trawler is very small for two people. To add a third person (the player), we wanted to make the ship bigger.

In the demo, only Stan showed on the menu. I wanted to make sure that both Stan and Ford were onscreen together to indicate [1] their close sibling bond and [2] the two different romance options players can choose from. The boat, as well--the main form of travel throughout the game--is more prominent.

Granny Hattie Concept

In Chapter 2, we meet a sweet grandma. Dan came up with her name "Hattie."
She likes hats! But she never thought that's why people gave her the nickname...
After sending the sketch for review, Sam (@samfannar) suggested giving her circular glasses. They suit her so well!
